A physician, two nurses and a hospital housekeeper serve in our Adult Vaccination Unit in weekdays during office hours. The vaccines are kept in a special vaccine cabinet in compliance with the cold chain rule. The temperature and storage conditions of the vaccines are monitored via the "Vaccine Tracking System" of the Ministry of Health. The vaccines administered in our unit include Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Pneumococcal vaccines, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Meningococcal, Rabies, Inactivated Polio, Acellular Pertussis, Influenza, and HPV.
We have a standard operating procedure for vaccination of patients and healthcare personnel. According to this procedure, the patient makes an appointment and is examined at our outpatient clinic. The physician orders the necessary vaccines, and a "Vaccine Request Form" is issued, directing the patient to our Adult Vaccination Unit. The Unit also accepts patients from other outpatient clinics and inpatient wards. The nurse administers the vaccine, and a vaccination card is issued. The administered vaccines are registered by scanning the QR code into the Ministry of Health's "Vaccine Tracking System." Our nurses also provide additional information to the vaccinated about potential side effects. Finally, the patient is given the vaccination card with the next vaccination dose and date noted.
At the end of each month, statistics of all administered vaccines are recorded, archived, and stored.
