Undergraduate

Our educational activity is focused mainly on the undergraduate program in the Faculty of Medicine. We also participate in the educational programs of other faculties or colleges of healthcare. 

1. Faculty of Medicine:

            Our academic staff lecture to the medical students in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th year of their education (https://tip.hacettepe.edu.tr/en). Our undergraduate clinical training is a joint education program with the Departments of Medicine, Cardiology and Pulmonary Medicine. Students are encouraged to apply their theoretical knowledge into real or fictional case scenarios in small group tutorials and bed-side discussions. We also have elective classes; evaluation of microscopy and basic microbiological methods in infectious diseases in the 3rd year, and common infectious diseases in the 4th year. In addition, students receive an “orientation course for clinics” at the beginning of the academic calendar in the 4th and 5th years with a main focus on infection control measures in the hospital.

2. Other Faculties & Colleges:

            A total of 16 hours of lectures are given to the students of the Faculties of Dentistry and Pharmacy annually about basic concepts in infectious diseases.
